The Tonkinese breed was developed from older, established breeds (Siamese and Burmese) cats. Within the CFA, Tonkinese kittens born after January 1, 1984, cannot have Siamese or Burmese parents.

The Tonkinese is a shorthaired medium-sized cat with fur that is soft and luxurious like a mink coat. The eye color is aqua for the mink-coated cat, blue for the point-coated cat, and green/gold for the solid-coated cat. Coat color names: Natural/Sepia, Blue, Champagne/Chocolate, Platinum/Lilac.

Natural, Blue, Champagne and Platinum can be shown for Championship status in the CFA and TICA.

As a breeder, we are concerned for the health and safety of our Tonkinese. They are sold as indoor cats only.

CONAMORECATS name was derived from con amore which means with love, devotion, or zest. We have chosen the Tonkinese breed for their cheerful, affectionate, highly intelligent and playful attitude. They love to snuggle, zoom to the top of the cat tower, hang like a monkey, chase fuzzy balls, and give you lots of licks! A feather or sparkly toy acts as a catalyst for cat acrobatics. They are our door-greeters. Our Championship Tonkinese (CH) live with us in our home with two dogs. Currently, we own Blue, Platinum/Lilac and Champagne/Chocolate breeders.
